| Catalina Sandino Moreno: Best of 2007 |
| Category: Site Updates |
How time flies! It seems like only yesterday that I agreed to take over the site from Riikka - when in fact it was actually back in May. I was then busy catching up on everything Catalina Sandino Moreno and re-launched the site with a new layout and up to date information. Unfortunately, I’ve then somewhat lost motivation to keep running the site - mainly because I do maintain other sites as well. As said earlier this month I am determined to look after this site better in 2008. I’d like to thank all of you visitors for sticking around and baring with me. I hope you will continue to step by Introducing Catalina Sandino Moreno and remember, feedback & comments are always very much appreciated!

Compiled by myself. Feel free to post your own choices in the comments sectionIdea inspired by my friends Riikka and Mycah.
Best news:
Catalina being cast as Aleida, Che’s wife, in Steven Soderbergh’s two-film-project. She will be in both “The Argentine” and “Guerrilla” and I hope her part is large! (update)
Worst news:
This is actually something I forgot to update on. A New York Daily interview mentioned that Catalina was going to star on stage in Kenneth Lonergan’s new play, “The Messenger Star”. I suppose, they were referring to The Starry Messenger. It was due to play off-Broadway at the Manhattan Theatre Club this winter. Unfortunately, it was cancelled (read article).
Favourite magazine picture:

There weren’t too many magazine pictures - there were a few more than there are right now in the gallery, scans are coming soon - but I really loved this one.
Favourite photo shoot:

This is my new favourite Catalina photo shoot session ever!
Favourite event look:

Catalina always looks classy at events - but I decided my favourite look is this one. A happy & smiling Catalina wearing blue in Madrid at the premiere of The Heart of the Earth.
Favourite 2007 project:
Definitely The Heart of the Earth. (I haven’t seen Love in the Time of Cholera yet) I like the film’s story, Catalina looks fantastic in period costumes and it is another strong role for her.
Favourite still from a 2007 project:

I can’t wait to see Catalina in Love in the Time of Cholera even if she’s ‘only’ got a supporting role - she looks really beautiful in this.
Favourite quote
It’s a tie between:
It’s funny. I came back from Colombia a few months ago, and I kind of freaked out. I was, like, “Oh my God, I don’t have a job!” but then I remembered that I can wait. I know how to wait now. I know how to be patient. So I’ll be here, circling, waiting. I’m like a shark. I won’t go away.
and
Just because I do all these serious movies doesn’t mean you can’t have a damn laugh!
Most anticipated Catalina release for 2008:
There’s only one we know about, so, the ‘Che’ projects The Argentine & Guerilla.
